SEO stands for "Search Engine Optimization". As the name suggests, it is the optimization of a website, internally and externally, so that google values it and places it in the first positions of its search engine.
In the past (already very distant) it was relatively easy to get to the top of Google searches. Not only because of the gaps in the algorithm, which allowed that with the purchase of "links" a website went up to the top positions with some ease. But also because of the reduced importance that companies gave their presence on the search engine, so there was little competition.
Today, with the gaps in the algorithm resolved, in order to appear in the first places, your website must deliver value to the visitor through relevant content. Old "tricks" not only do not raise the position of a website, but are very likely to be penalized in the positions. Currently with a much greater awareness of companies, about the value that Google brings them to be in the top positions. It has become increasingly difficult and complicated to reach the top places, due to the existing competition.
With knowledge comes power, and we have the knowledge of how to put your site in the top positions of Google. Depending on the competition it is a path that lasts for months, and is continuous.
Making SEO even in Portugal / Europe is something that has become increasingly complex. It is increasingly difficult to achieve results if you do not know what you are doing, which can be discouraging and frustrating. We do quality SEO (white hat) especially for companies and put our know-how at your disposal, if you choose to work with us to put your site on the 1st page of google.
One of the factors that google values when placing a site in a higher position, is whether the site is responsive and loads in a few seconds. A slow website has an added difficulty compared to competitors, and if it is not responsive, it is discarded from the most relevant positions.
Still on the topic of the speed of a website. A WordPress site can be a little heavier and slower due to the weight of several plugins. But if you use the right tools, it is possible that it will be as fast or faster than a conventional website, if it is properly optimized.
